The Bowral Kookaburra's Under 14 team will play in the grand final this weekend and look to fill their trophy cabinet with new hardware. Coach Rob Gallina is ecstatic with his teams performance.
"It's seriously awesome," Gallina said.
"This is their third year of competition. This squad went undefeated in their under 11 season. We got to the semi finals last year and this year we made the grand final, the boys are pumped."
Gallina is confident in his players and has enjoyed watching them develop their skills.
"I love seeing how our team has gelled together and work with one another," Gallina said.
"The camaraderie is great to see, they've all become best mates. We had six kids come into the group with some not knowing how to throw a ball.
"To see them develop into such great players within the team has been the best."
The culture at the club is amazing.

Becoming a coach and passing on his knowledge was a natural transition for Gallina.
"I used to play league," Gallina said.
"Then my young bloke wanted to play sport. He tried out soccer, tennis and then he tried league and loved it. Nine years ago Bowral didn't have a coach for this age group and I've been at the club ever since."
Bowral have had their fair shares of up and downs, but with the return of the seniors in 2015 the club is thriving.
"The culture at the club is amazing," Gallina said.
"There were a few hiccups with the seniors and poor numbers back in the day, but numbers for the club are the best they've ever been. We've also got a great bunch of seniors at the moment.
"They come out on their weekends and support the juniors. The past few weeks they've been coming to every single game.
"They've been really good mentors and great role models for the kids."
The Kookaburras will face off with Camden at Thirlmere Sports Ground this Saturday at 10:30am.
