Now it's time to let them know how much they are appreciated.
Each Father's Day we celebrate sporting fathers in Australia, professional and amateur, who are great examples on and off the sporting field.
Now you can recognise a local sports dad in your community for the chance to be crowned the Philips Community Sports Dad of the Year.
Whether it's a dad that coaches his local junior team, helps the local sports club with funding or support, or simply plays competitive sport on the weekend, now is the chance to highlight a father who's an inspiration to your local sports club and community.
Volunteering to me is about giving and not expecting anything back. Making life easier for others and putting smiles on children's faces
- Bill Soliola
The Community Sports Dad of the Year winner will be provided with a $5,000 Rebel Sports voucher to donate to his sporting club of choice for some new gear or sporting equipment.
Last years winner was father of eight Bill Soliola who was the under 8's coach, first aider, photographer, fundraiser, manager, committee member and the regular go to man who never says no for the Berala Bears JRLFC.
The award was for everyone," Soliola said.
"What motivates me are all the families. Volunteering to me is about giving and not expecting anything back.
"Making life easier for others and putting smiles on children's faces".
