Now the 16As have played their last home game and reality is beginning to set in that it's time for them to take the next step in their futures.
Jasper Murphy has nothing but great memories of the club and will always remember his time as a Lion.
"I've played at the club for ten years," Murphy said.
"I began in the under 7's team. My proudest moment at the club was to run out of the sheds each and every week in the Lions colours and winning the grand final last year.
"Being a Mittagong Lion is more then footy, it's being a part of a family."

Liam Bayliss has the green and gold flowing through his veins. He's been a part of the club for 11 years and has faced many of life's obstacles throughout his time.
"My dad played rugby league and I wanted to follow in those footsteps," Bayliss said.
"My proudest and fondest memory at the club was winning the grand final and playing for my dad, Andrew Bayliss.
"He passed away recently and I'll always remember those memories."
Matthew Simpson has developed many friendships over his time at the club and even though his playing career is undecided, he'll always lend a helping hand.
"I'll probably retiree (laughs)," Simpson said.
"But I'll stick around and help out the boys next year. Being around the boys is the best thing about being a Lion."
Nathan Hansen has played at the club since he was five years old and has no plans to hang up the green and gold.
"My brothers played here and I wanted to be like them," Hansen said.
"We're a big family here at Mittagong. It's like a community. I'll be heading into seniors next season and looking to continue having fun."
