Carl Spilker wins minor singles title in come from behind win. Carl Spilker defeated Bob Crowley 31-24 in the final of the minor singles.
The feature of this match would be the record of 21 touches for those who do not no the rules it is when a player hits the jack.
With very good bowls played after 12 ends Crowley had a 10-8 lead. The game was fixed to have a great finish . Without question the bowls played by both players would have done justice in a major final.
The next 12 ends had some remarkable bowls played with Spilker just in front 23-22.
Crowley played a shot that moving the jack would have given him four shots but on this rare occasion he missed by a finger nail.
Over the last four ends nothing was going to take the title from Spilker and he won three of the ends to take out the title by seven shots.
