Displaying their joy for their newly founded partnership, 30 kids were in attendance tucking into the food Oporto had to offer.
Area Manager of Oporto, Maria Schifilliti couldn't wait to begin a working relationship with the Lions.
"When we were opening the Oporto restaurant, we had a few interviews with locals for jobs," Ms Schifilliti said.
"A few of the employees actually play rugby league, so I started researching the Mittagong Lions Club and what they do for the local community.
"I really enjoyed hearing about their Pathways for Kids Program, metal health programs and everything else they do for the local community. I set up a meeting with Billy Hayward, we formed a partnership from there and we then decided to sponsor them.
"It feels great to support an excellent local club and help the community. It makes you feel like your doing something good and giving back."
Mittagong Lions Secretary, Billy Hayward said the partnership with Mittagong Oporto will help the club astronomically.
"It's huge, money talks a lot of languages," Hayward said.
"This money is going back into the club for the kids. It will make our jobs easier as administration and will make sure the pathways are right for these kids.
"It will allow them to make the choices they need and we can provide for them, then give them the best opportunities for life later on. Rugby league can play a part in all that."

The amount donated by Oporto was $7,000, along with 250 game day awards which allows kids who play a game a meal after their match at Oporto Mittagong or Gregory Hills.
Oporto Mittagong will also make employment opportunities available for players.
