Noel Fraser, Jim Neely, Carl Spilker and Mick Spong defeated Austral 23-19.
This was the only Bowral rink to show form on the day, although they left it to the last end to clinch the win.

At the half way mark the two sides could not be split, with the score line 10-10 suggesting this would be a close finish.
With one end to play Bowral led by a point 20-19.
However when Austral held shots on the last end.
All the Bowral teams held their nerve and through good team work, converted shots to there advantage to score three shots on the last end to claim the match by four shots.
Stephen Della, Dennis Beatty, Paul Leverett and Mick Armstrong lost to Austral 17-12.
There was not much between these two sides after 16 ends austral was the leader 13-11.
This then followed some good play by austral and they came away nine shot winners.
Nathan Boyers, David Coltman, Dougald Braithwaite, Josh Woodcock lost to austral 32-17.
After 11 ends Austral had a 15-10 lead and always looked as if they would go on to win.
And as predicted they went on to win by 15 shots.

Bowral team manager, Mark Wilson stated everything will be on the line for Bowral this Saturday as they come up against league leaders Blacktown workers at Bowral.
Mark stated the Bowral form has been up and down and hard to predict but hopes they can put in a good display against the leaders.
