"The day was a fantastic success with our younger generation showing their respect and appreciation in acknowledgment the sacrifices to those who gave so much for our beloved country," Lion's secretary and reserve grade coach, Billy Hayward said.
"We had Stephen Spence President from the Mittagong RSL Sub Branch as our Guest reading the ode and students from Chevalier play the last post with the bugle."
In honour of the fallen, the Lions held a respectful ceremony which had teams linked arm in arm singing the national anthem.
"A wreath ceremony took place by our Pathways Ambassadors and we all sung to the National Anthem Together as one," Hayward said.
"We did it for those who did not return and for those who did so much for our generation.
"We honour their sacrifices by living a good healthy and respectful life.
"Their selfless brave and caring acts should never be forgotten and our community and Rugby League Football Club will always honours their heroics each year for many generations to come."
The first grade Mittagong Lions side defeated Campbelltown City 40-10.
The Lions will face Camden this weekend in a round four clash.
