Although several Highlands Veterans have represented NSW in Over 60s and Over 70s at national carnivals and in the State of Origin against Queensland, Jensen and Bradburn are the first to be selected for a national side.
Their selection comes on the back of excellent performances at the recent State of Origin series in Queensland and follows consistently strong performances for Highlands during the 2018/19 season.
Jensen has played most of his cricket locally for the Bradman Foundation XI where he regularly hits big scores, very often undefeated.
He bats in the top three for Highlands, impressing with his powerful hitting and excellent placement.
In addition his baseball background shows in the quality of his fielding both in the deep and close to the wicket.
The experienced, knowledgeable Bradburn can expect plenty of work on the tour as the number one wicketkeeper.
Not only is his glovework of the highest quality but he is also a strong top order batsman who mixes very good defence with aggressive strokeplay.
There are 18 players in the touring party including four from NSW while Tasmania, Queensland, ACT, Victoria and Western Australia will also be represented.
The fifteen games on the schedule include three One-Day internationals against England which will be a highlight and no doubt the two Highlands players will be right in the mix for selection against the old enemy.
The tourists fly out on 5 June, returning on 6 July with most games in the southern part of England and the Midlands. There is sure to be a lot of interest with cricket's World Cup being held concurrently.
Highlands Veterans chairman, Norm Stanton, said, "We are all extremely proud of the selection of Pete and Braddy in the Australian side. They are both not only champion cricketers but champion blokes who will contribute on and off the field and they go to England with our very best wishes in flying the Highlands flag."
