Home match day is always a big one for our committee and volunteers, with President Damien Plain and the field set-up crew along with Canteen Manager, Lizzie Green and Coaching Coordinator Emma Green at the park by 6.30am.

And as is usually the case with hard-working volunteers - they're the last to leave the park with pack-up and clean-up keeping them there until after 5pm.

It's a big job and without our trusty volunteers would be almost impossible. We had the added dilemma of a coffee machine on the blink.
Luckily one of our major sponsors, the Robertson Bowling Club, came through and lent one for the day so we could keep the coffee up to the parents on the early shift.
Think about that next time you visit a sporting event and turn your mind to the efforts made to ensure such things as a bin being available for you and a rope being in place to protect the kids from the car park - it might motivate you to lend a hand to those making it happen for your own brand of recreation.
The littlies again had a ball, revelling in playing at their home ground with which they are familiar and the opportunity to visit the canteen and playground with their team mates afterwards.
The comfort of a home match encouraged a little new comer to take to the field without the need to hold his coaches hand - well done little man!
Home matches also provide the opportunity for the little ones to stick around a little longer and see their siblings and older club mates participate in their matches at the next development levels and spark the motivation to look forward to the next stages in their own soccer development.
Round 2 saw the first match for our U12s team after their round 1 match was deferred.
This team sports eight young ladies! Our Club is especially proud of our female participation rate and this team reflects the results of our encouragement and support.
They played an excellent match against Mittagong coming away with a high-scoring five all draw. Riley Wallace netted two goals as did Hamish Chapman, and Natasha Hamilton played beautifully, rewarded with a goal of her own.
Our U13s played well but were on the wrong side of another high scoring match going down 8 - 4 to Moss Vale. Duke Garske worked hard for a hat trick in his first match of the season, backed up by his mate Jesse Hol adding one to his season tally.
The U15s went down 2 - 0 to Yerrinbool.
The U15s team also boasts eight ladies in the team! In a year that will see the FIFA Women's World Cup hotly contended by our highly ranked Matildas it is very satisfying to see a couple of our junior team lists reflecting ladies in the majority.
Our new youth grade side went down 4 - 2 to Moss Vale, with Lachlan Falls and Will Hore netting one each. They are very much a new team and will take some weeks to gel but are already showing promise.
Our ladies and mens matches had the extra challenge of the heat and it showed in heavy legs all round as the matches progressed.
The Gold ladies managed a 1 - 0 win over Yerrinbool with a cracking goal off a corner kick from Lizzie Green.
Rhianon Hol again worked hard in defence and the leadership of Emma Green from behind in the goal box is key to the team maintaining calm and developing as a team.
The focus for now is working on converting the opportunities created into goals on the board.
The Maroon ladies had a hard fought one all draw against Hill Top with Shenoah Furniss scoring a beautifully executed 'no panic' left footer off the back of what was a perfect cross.
They too will work on converting opportunities to ensure the score board reflects the efforts made on the field.
The Maroon men came away with a 4 - 0 win over Hill Top. Dan Freere scored a double.
Zac Levin and Josh Zemljacenko got one each. In the smooth words of team member Garry Hol: 'Robertson Maroon delivered a controlled and possession-driven performance which highlighted their preference for deft passing and quick ball movement.
Hill Top were effectively shut out and were afforded minimal chances on goal.
Robertson highlighted their early season fitness as well, constantly being first to the ball and providing better options for each other than Hill Top.'
Our Gold men were also victors with a 2 -1 win over Exeter.
They were well supported by youth graders Kurt Crawford and Lachlan Falls who each got one in the back of the net.
