The Mittagong Lions junior tenpin bowling team played at Windsor Tenpin bowl as apart of the competition.
Mittagong have made the grand final in the last two seasons, but they went into the first round of this year with two new look teams.
Coach Luke Hannon said "We have two teams again but we've added some fresh faces this year after losing some older players as well as mixing up the existing team from last year.
"The idea was to create two evenly balanced teams and based on the results looks like we achieved that," he said.
The Intercentre tournament is played at various bowling centres during the year and teams of four bowlers play five games on the day.
With 13 teams competing in the first round, the eventual round winners were Bowlarama Wetherall Park with Mittagong Green finishing 3rd and one point behind in 4th was Mittagong Blue.
Highlights of the day were Tyler Hannon from Mittagong Green who rolled his first ever 200 game and as a result had the highest handicap game of 267.
Jorja Simpson from Mittagong Blue rolled the highest scratch female score of 177.
Round 2 of the NSW Junior Intercentre Tournament will be held at Bowlarama Wetherall park.
