Dolphins have been in great form and brought it into this game.

Gun player Daniel Barnes has been a standout in the competition and he stamped his mark on this match as well.
The first quarter was fairly even, with Dolphins scoring two goals,one each to Chelsea Flood and Blake Osborne, to Polar Bears one, scored by Jeremy Regan. It was in the second quarter that Barnes unleashed with a three goals blitz that set up the win for the Dolphins.
An exponent of the fast break he was able to pounce on a couple of poorly timed passes from the Polar Bears and punish their mistakes.
Marco Basaglia was the Polar Bears lone scorer in the second quarter. With a 5-2 half time lead the Dolphins had set up a comfortable buffer. The second half was even at 2-2, each time Polar Bears made an in road into the lead it was matched by Dolphins.
Barnes scored again for Dolphins in the third quarter and Chelsea Flood again in the final period.
Jeremy Regan scored his second for the Polar Bears and Scott McClean scored in the final period for Polar Bears.
The Sharks went into a scoring frenzy, 13-1, against the Mariners who were all at sea trying to curtail the surging Sharks.
The Sharks have been boosted by the addition of Cronulla player, Lauren Balla. With goals to Christian Antoniak and Stephen Matz the Sharks led 2-0 at the first break.
Both teams unleashed in the second period with Sharks scoring four to the Mariners one.
Sharks Emma Maddox netted two and Gabrielle Butcher and Lauren Balla one each, while Mariners Will Jamieson scored their only goal for the match. The Shark attack pressed on relentlessly in the second half. Jason Nicholas picked up 3, Emma Maddox another 2 and Christian Antoniak another one to finish off the mauled Mariners.
In B grade Horton’s Heroes bounced back to the winner’s list with a 5-3 win over Dolphin’s B.
The Heroes entire haul of five goals came from Austin Lockhart, who was their Hero on the night. Horton’s Heroes established a 2-0 lead after the first quarter that they kept throughout the game.
Each of the remaining three quarters was 1-1 without Mariners being able to turn the tide of the match. Mariner’s scorers were Chris Canute, Christian Galea and Hamish Barber.
Polar Bears B ended an exasperating run of one goal losses with an emphatic 11-3 win over Oxley Blue.
Oxley Blue were unfortunate in meeting Lauren Cameron in her best game of the season, Lauren found the back of the net a total of eight times in the match divided equally between each quarter.
Leading 5-0 in the first half after Carl Nurse had added the extra goal, Polar Bears looked very comfortable. Lucy Wawn scored the first of Oxley’s goals in the third quarter, with Riley Kennedy-Moore and Finn Ottaviano adding the two in the last period.
Luc Purchert and Carl Nurse added to the Polar Bear tally with second half goals.
Mariners B, 9, had a comfortable win over Oxley Gold 3.
Mariners were on course with a five goal blitz in the first half to Oxley’s 1. Three goals to one in the first quarter set up the tone for the match. Campbell Wakeling scored consistently, one for each quarter in the match, William Docherty scored the first of his two for Mariners.
In the second half the 4-2 score line was more competitive.
Ellie Connell and Bronte Smith scored for Oxley. The quality of play has improved as the season has progressed.
