Bowral Blues Cricket Club has received a major financial boost following a new sponsorship arrangement with long-term club backer, the Scottish Arms Hotel.

The arrangement fortifies the clubs financial standing, enabling it to cover costs for several items including district registration fees, insurances, uniforms and equipment. It also takes pressure off future fee increases for senior and junior players.
The terms were formalised at the end of play on Saturday at the Scottish Arms, where Blues players gathered to debrief and socialise.
Scottish Arms Hotel Manager, Nathan Robertson was on hand to present a sealed cheque to Blues players after play on Saturday.
Blues Treasurer Michael Heinecke said the although the sponsorship specifics are confidential, the arrangement makes a tremendous difference to the club.
“The Scottish Arms Hotel has backed us for years and we don’t take it for granted that their invaluable support is moving onwards and upwards,” Michael said.
“This puts us in a solid position for future seasons.
“We’re a volunteer club, so every cent that comes in makes a difference, particularly given that our member base and associated costs are growing.
“The (Scottish) Arms is synonymous with our club – it’s where we have our club meetings and presentation nights and it’s where our players and families hang out for drinks and dinner after matches.
“Beyond the Arms’ financial support, there’s tremendous old-fashioned community good- will in terms of how they help our club.
“The same goes for McKillop Property and Holiday Rental Specialists – their ongoing support is hugely appreciated.
“We just can’t get by without them.”
