But the main match between the NSW Police and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) had to be cancelled due to the weather.
The match will be rescheduled at a later date, with the details yet to be confirmed.
Many had shown up to support the event, so a match was relocated to a local reserve and a very casual scratch match was played between the AFP and a Community Team XI.
Australian Federal Agent and Founding Director of the Foundation, Mr Danny Caruana said, “Unfortunately the Community Cup had to be cancelled.”
“It is disappointing but out of our control,” he said.
“That is all part of the nature and the game of cricket.
“We look forward to holding the Community Cup at a later date and look forward to another great turn out for an important cause."
The Community Team XI went on to defeat the AFP 249 to 180.
