The Moss Vale evening sub-branch commenced late last year on December 5 and will meet at the Moss Vale Community Hall, previously known as the Senior Citzen’s Hall on Queen Street.
Evening meetings have become a trend more common in CWA branches across the state as working members are keen to join the organisation.
24 members were present for the inaugural meeting that was chaired by the Wollondilly Group president.
The branch was quick to begin its engagement with the community; supporting the Vinnies local homeless food appeal with food and supplies for the organisation’s Christmas hampers and a morning tea catering job with Moss Vale Public School.
The branch is eager to get the ball rolling for 2019 and will hold its first meeting at 10am on Wednesday, January 16 for a morning of coffee, chats and crafts.
The Moss Vale evening branch has extended a welcome to any like-minded local women.
