I’d like to also play for Australia one day
- Darcey Wooderson
“It was a really good experience,” Darcey said.
“Every country has a different style of play.
“I learnt from different coaches and the Italian style was very fast and aggressive.
“It was good bringing that style of play into mine. The level of competition was really high and I also really enjoyed the lifestyle.”
The Macarthur Rams are an expansion team that now gives kids in the Highlands a pathway into the A-League and that’s where Darcey’s mindframe is at.
“I was really happy that all the years and work I put into trying to get into the NPL1 are paying off,” Darcey said.
“I’d like to one day play for Sydney or the Wanderers.
“I’d like to also play for Australia one day.”
With those aspirations and only just having finished year 7 at Chevalier College, Darcey’s future is looking bright.
