The funds raised have helped Vinnies provide food and vital support to thousands of people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage across Australia.
This year, IGA will once again support Vinnies by selling $2 Christmas Baubles at all IGA stores until December 25, 2018.
Manager of IGA Moss Vale, Kaleigh Woll said, “As independent retailers we are passionate about serving the local community, giving back to a number of local schools, sporting groups, nursing homes and championing people in need via our Let’s Make Better charity.
“If you want to bring cheer to what can be a difficult time of year for many people, buy a $2 Vinnies Christmas Bauble, and together we can make a real difference.”
Chair of the IGA National Retailer Council, Joseph Romeo said, “As independent retailers who are passionate about serving the local community and giving back, IGA believes in championing people in need.
“We want to thank the locals for their ongoing support of IGA and our many community initiatives.”
CEO of St Vincent De Paul Society NSW, Jack de Groot thanked IGA retailers for embracing the true spirit of Christmas.
“Christmas can be a challenging time for many in our community,” Mr de Groost said.
