In just seven years, Acacia Quartet, comprising of Bowral violinists Lisa Stewart and Myee Clohessy, violist Stefan Duwe and cellist Anna Martin-Scrase have won great respect for their versatile and inventive concerts.
Taking its title from the fourth movement of Beethoven’s String Quartet No.6, La Malinconia (which means melancholy) Acacia Quartet will bring three works to the elegant North Sydney concert venue.
Having recorded six albums, three of which earned ARIA nomination for ‘Best Classical Album’ and regular performance spots on ABC Classic FM and Fine Music 102.5.
Having performed around the world in locations such as Canada and Germany, Acacia recently recorded a CD of string quartets by Günter Raphael.
The Acacia Quartet will perform at the Independent Theatre, Sunday November 18 at 269 Miller Street, North Sydney.
Adult prices are $50, concession is $35, students $25 and children are $20.
