Closing the Gap is a government strategy that aims to reduce disadvantage among Aboriginal and Torres-Strait Islander people with respect to life expectancy, child morality, access to early childhood education, educational achievement, and employment outcomes.
This year marked the 10th year of the Close the Gap agenda, and it marked the hospital’s fourth annual awareness event.
The barbecue was held at the hospital’s 125-year garden area at the back of Allied Health.
