The Stars of the Highlands Dance for Cancer event aims to raise $60,000 for Cancer Council’s services in the Highlands.
Funds raised will help to provide support for people in the Southern Highlands community affected by cancer, in particular, through the Southern Highlands General and Practical Support Program.
Each star is partnered with a professional dance instructor to perform a dance routine where they will compete for the judges’ and audiences’ votes on the night.
Organiser Kelly Dinnerville said she is excited about this year’s Stars of the Highlands event.
“It is such a fun and entertaining way for like-minded business people to come together and show their support of people affected by cancer. The courageous stars will step out of their comfort zone and put on a night of fun and entertainment, while raising funds for their local community,” she said.
This year’s lineup of stars include Jasamine Patterson from ANZ, James Wilson from Nine News, Patrick Glanville from United Culture, Carol Brown from Mrs Oldbucks Pantry, Joh Bailey from Joh Bailey Bowral, Frank Kirkpatrick from Simply Strata, Stacey Peters from One Agency, Adam Towers from Southern Highlands Brewing and Tap House, and Brooke Gibbs from Southern Highland News.
Each star will fund raise for the Cancer Council NSW in the lead up to the gala event.
The Stars of the Highlands Dance for Cancer event will be held on Friday, May 18 at Mittagong RSL club. Tickets will be available from the club for $80 per head and will include a two-course meal and beverage on arrival.
