The Roosters recorded a 30-12 victory over the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Allianz Stadium.
After their shock round one loss, the Roosters proved far too strong for the Bulldogs.
The result marked the first win in tri-colours for high-profile Roosters recruits James Tedesco and Cooper Cronk.
Tedesco and Cronk also both scored their first try for the Roosters on Friday night.
However, it was a costly win for Sydney with two key players suffering injuries.
Winger Daniel Tupou suffered a pectoral injury, while utility Mitch Aubosson required 12 stitches due to a head clash.
