The burns will take place in Fitzroy Falls, Joadja and High Range.
Hazard reduction is just one way of preparing for bush fires – it doesn't remove the threat of fire, and it doesn't remove the need for you and your family to be prepared.
There are different types of hazard reduction including controlled burning, mechanical clearing like slashing undergrowth, or even reducing the ground fuel by hand.
The Fitzroy Falls burn will be located on Redhills Road and is expected to occur on Wednesday, March 14 and Friday, March 16.
The hazard reduction will commence from 5pm.
Reduction will also take place on Saturday and Sunday from 10am.
Hazard reduction will also take place on Joadja Road, Joadja on March 17, 18 and 19 from 9am.
The size of the area is approximately 1497 hectares.
RFS Southern Highlands will also assist National Parks and Wildlife Service at High Range on March 17, 18 and 19.
Hazard reduction burn will commence from 9am over 342 hectares.
