Musician Steve Cheers released the video for his latest single The Best Part of the World recently.
The video features Highlanders young and old, which is a theme in Cheers’ videos.
The music video for Cheers’ first single A Glass Half Full was filmed in the Southern Highlands and featured many Highlands identities.
The Best Part of the World music video, which was posted on YouTube on February 15, has already had more than 1000 views.
The video, which was filmed in Australia and New Zealand, was directed by Ozan Fikri and Geralyn Cheers.
The video was edited by Michael Turczynski for Fikri Films.
Cheers said when he wrote the song, it quickly evolved into an ‘I love Australia’ number.
“We live in the most wonderful and beautiful natural environments. We are admired by so many as a fortunate, peace loving nation. And as a people at our best, there are few more generous, accepting and good-humoured,” Cheers said.
“So if that’s what you take from this song, then that’s great.”
Cheers said while the song celebrated Australia, it had a deeper meaning.
“I try hard to be positive in life and to share that with those around me. Bad stuff happens, of course it does, but how we react to it is more within our control than we realise,” he said.
“Everything we need to be happy and fulfilled, especially in this lucky country, is found within.

“Sometimes we just need to remind ourselves and each other to look for it.”
Best Part of the World is the second single off Cheers’ recently-released album The Measure of a Man.
