A new playground was built in January which features several timber structures.
The adventure playground was the Parent and Friends committee’s major project for 2017.
It was designed to assist children’s problem solving skills and creativity as well as just having fun.
It was funded by several fundraisers held by the P and F last year.
One of the key features of the playground is an old tree which has been partly removed.
Much of the tree that was removed has been recycled and used in the creation of other areas of the playground.
The playground was designed and installed by a local company.
Year 6 students have got the job of maintaining the playground and watering the plants each morning.
A beginning of year barbecue will be held this weekend where Father Richard Green will bless the new playground and officially open it.
