The next thing you will notice is her enthusiasm and passion.
During her time as an Interchange Australia client, Olivia has made many friends and engaged in a variety of activities.
This includes peer support outings and participation in our music program as a member of The Hidden Wonders band.
Olivia loves to help people and her career aspiration is to become a support worker.
With the assistance of Interchange Australia, Olivia is working towards her career goal.
Last year, Olivia began volunteering at a nursing home in the Southern Highlands.
Her role involved providing support to residents.
After a short period of time, it became apparent what a great asset Olivia was to all of the residents.
She has a great ability in making the day feel brighter and lighter for all the people in her care.
Inspired by her volunteer work at the nursing home, Olivia was determined to volunteer more time to assist others.
Following a very successful interview with the management of another local nursing home, she was accepted as a volunteer at that outlet.
She no now attends this home one day per week.
Olivia loves assisting with the singing group and will be helping at their café too when it is completed.
Olivia is living her dream and making a positive contribution to all of the residents she assists.
Congratulations Olivia on pursuing your goals.
You are making such a positive impact on so many people’s lives.
