The game was held at Woodlands Rd, St Helens Park on Friday night on February 9.
The Stars side got off to another slow start, failing to score in the first innings as the opposition built a good lead on several fielding errors.
In the second innings, however, the Bombers' bats started swinging and the score ticked over.
The highlight was the Bombers’ first home run of the season to Guy Farrugia off a mighty left field drive.
Special mention also to the team's most senior player, Geoff Toft, who stole a run off an extra base from a Paul Cameron hit.
In the end, the squandered first innings cost the Stars dearly, leaving them three short despite the late charge.
The game ended with a 10-7 loss for the Bombers.
