There has been strong interest in the clinics, and about 30 girls have already signed up.
The clinic will be run by guest coaches Lauren Cheatle, Stef Daffara and former Australian women’s coach and NSW female pathway manager Steve Jenkin.
Highlands District Cricket Association junior director Jodi Cooper said the clinic was about leveling the playing field for girls and boys.
“Cricket has been portrayed as a boys sport,” Cooper said. “The girls are taking over. The girls are playing the girls in the Big Bash League.”
There are two sessions for the clinics.
The clinic dates include Friday, February 23 and Friday, March 9 from 4pm to 6pm at Bradman Oval.
