The match started well for the Stars side, with the Mets quickly dismissed without score in the first innings.
The Vipers then put five runs through on the back of some solid hitting, notably from Scott Hogan.
However the visiting team were not going to go down without a fight.
The Mets Soul soon found five runs of their own.
The match teetered back and fourth for the remainder.
Only the consistent pitching of Andrew Lewis ensured the Mets scored once more.
The Vipers scraped together another three for the victory.
The match ended with a 8-6 win for the Vipers.
The team was supported by club member Michael Doherty, who took on plate umpiring duties.
