Bill Pope and Gordon Lewis defeated Colin Stone and Kel Limbrick 21-19 at Bowral Bowling Club on January 31. After 11 ends, Pope and Lewis were leading 11-8. Stone and Limbrick then got back into the game winning five ends in a row and this gave them a 17-11 lead. Pope and Lewis came into the game again to trail 19-18 with one end to play. With the result in the balance Pope and Lewis scored one shot on the last end to draw level 19-19. An extra end was played with pope and Lewis scoring two shots to come out the winners in what was a top game.
