The former Australian rugby union player has returned to Australia in January after living in Durban, South Africa for the past seven years.
Bowral Blacks head coach Gene Fairbanks said the club looked forward to working with Campese and learning from him.
“We’re all very excited,” Fairbanks said.
“It’s being able to have someone else to have discussions with.
“It’s good to have [Campese’s] confidence behind us.”
While the club has not appointed Campese to a specific role yet, Fairbanks said the club was sure to benefit from Campese’s extensive experience in the sport.
The former Wallabies wing decided it was time to return to Australia with his family last year, and to help his children achieve their goals in the Southern Highlands.
