1 – Gardenalia open garden and plant stall. Saturday and Sunday, January 27 and 28, 10am to 4pm. 5 May Street, Robertson.
Wander through these inspiring gardens with over 500 pots of rare and unusual plants, all designed to compliment the water gardens, statuary and gardenalia.
Potted garden design, rare plants and gardenalia will be on offer – including 40 year old wisteria, weeping Japanese maples, espaliers - pears and apples, bay trees, toparies, bulbs, clematis, fuchsias and roses, vireya rhodos and camellias, cycads, succulents and peonies, cyclamens, herbs and natives, and vegetables and hedges.
Entry is $8 per person, and will go toward supporting Diabetes NSW
2 – Music in the vines. Saturday, January 27, 1pm to 4pm. Joadja Estate, corner Greenhills and Joadja Roads, Berrima.
Joadja Estate will be welcoming back 'Kiss the Frog' to help celebrate Australia Day in style.
Wood-fired pizzas, sausage sizzle and cheese platters will be available, as well as delicious wines and a selection of beer.
This is a free event.
3 – Alessandra Garosi in concert. Saturday, January 27, 2:30pm. The Rose Room, 51F Sunninghill Avenue, Burradoo.
Join international pianist Alessandra Garosi as she performs works written by Italian, Australian, Chinese and African American female composers during the past century.
Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for concessions (available at the door).
4 – Bowral Public School markets. Saturday, January 27, 8am to 1pm. Bendooley Street, Bowral.
The Bowral Public School market considers itself one of the oldest and best attended markets in the Southern Highlands.
It has dozens of stalls offering an eclectic selection of quality foods, produce, plants, clothing, jewellery, gifts and handmade things.
5 – Gallie sings in Bundanoon. Saturday, January 27. Soldiers Memorial Hall, Railway Avenue, Bundanoon. Details: 0415680018.
Irish born, Australian living, contemporary troubadour, with the warmth of Van Morrison and the depth of Neil Young.
That’s how musician ‘Gallie’ describes himself.
Gallie is a singer songwriter with a velvet voice. His lyrics are alive with story, his performance on the stage is professional, relaxed, and offers a rare feeling of intimacy.
Tristan Courtney on double bass will accompany Gallie on the night.
Bring your own drinks, nibbles will be provided. Tickets are $25.
