Moss Vale truck drivers Jacob Rofe, Heath Willis, Joel Lidgard and Beau Moran will represent the Highlands in the convoy, which will depart on January 24.
The four will be among a convoy of more than 200 trucks from across Australia, that will travel to drought-stricken Cunnamulla in South West Queensland.
The convoy will travel through Darlington Point, Hillston, Cobar and Bourke to reach its destination.
The four have had several donations so far, including a semi-trailer load of hay worth $4000.
This was donated by Harby Farm property manager Shane Hill, who contributed the 40 bales of hay, which was grown on the property.
Hill said the gesture was about showing solidarity with farmers and he encouraged others to do the same.
“I’ve got plenty of feed and the guys up north don’t,” he said.
“A lot of farmers do it tough and other farmers know that.
“It’s about helping each other out. Everyone helps everyone.”
There will be a hay down event at the Bowral Co-Op on Friday, January 19.
The day will be an opportunity for Highlanders to purchase a bale of hay, which will be delivered to farmers in need as a part of the 2018 Burrumbuttock Hay Run.
There will be a free sausage sizzle for those that purchase a bale of hay, as well as an auction for a bale of hay at 1pm.
Businesses are encouraged to take part in the auction.
