CWA meeting
Moss Vale CWA branch will hold its monthly meeting on January 19 from 12.45pm for a 1.00pm start.

JP desks set to resume
Justice of the Peace services at various JP desks across the Highlands are set to resume operations for 2018.
The desks will re-open at Springetts Arcade Bowral – January 17; Moss Vale Super IGA – January 18; Highlands Marketplace - January 19 and 20; Colo Vale Markets – February 3; Hill Top General Store February 13.
Women Composers
Highlanders are in for a musical treat at The Rose Room, Burradoo, on January 27. Alessandra Garosi will perform at the property at 51F Sunninghill Avenue, Burradoo, as part of Women Composers: Around the world in 100 years (1917 to 2017). She will cover works by Italian, Australian, Chinese and African American female composers during the past century. Tickets are available at the door and are $30 for adults and $25 concession. Bowral CWA
The Bowral CWA branch craft group will hold the first meeting of 2018 February 6. Members would like to extend an invitation to join the friendly group for coffee, friendship and maybe learn a craft. If you are new to the Highlands this is a good way to meet people. The craft morning will be held from 10.00am until midday at the CWA rooms, 40 Wingecarribee Street, Bowral, (adjacent to Corbett Gardens). Details: Handicraft officer on 4868 2216 or 0417 682 165.
Reunion
An Amici Italiani reunion will be at Burrawang Hotel on February 8. The reunion is open to anyone who was a member of the Amici Italiani Group at any time since its formation in the Highlands in 1998. The group, recently stopped meeting on a monthly basis, however, it was once very popular with Highlanders with an interest in all things Italian. Sunday at Centennial
The next fundraising event for Can Assist will be Sunday at Centennial to be held on February 11 from midday. It will begin with welome Drinks followed by a three course set menu lunch at 1pm and tea or coffee afterwards. Entertainment will be by Johnny Spitz and guest speaker on the day will be Dr Riton Das MBBS FRACP FRCPA - Haematologist. Fundraising activities will include a raffle and charity auction.
