Caleb Ewan has secured a place as a competitor in next year’s Tour de France.
The news has topped off a successful year for Ewan.
He has achieved 12 race victories in the last 12 months for Orica-Scott, soon to known as Mitchelton-Scott in 2018.
This included a win at the Australian criterium title, and a stage win during his second appearance at the Giro d’Italia.
Ewan has also achieved stage wins in the Vuelta a Espana, the Tour of Abu Dhabi and the Santos Tour Down Under.
The race will cover 3329 kilometres in 21 stages across different conditions.
The first nine stages of the race will provide at least six opportunities for the sprinters, with the race set to cover the Vendee in the Pays de la Loire region.
Ewan will join fellow Orica-Scott cyclists Adam and Simon Yates, and Esteban Chaves.
The Tour de France will run from July 7 to 29, 2018.
