The signs, which contain coloured lettering and children’s drawing, have a serious message.
The ‘Hold my Hand’ signage campaign has been developed by the Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation.
The Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation was created in honour of four-year-old Thomas McLaughlin who died following a pedestrian road accident at MacMasters Beach on the NSW Central Coast on January 6, 2014.
The initiative reminds parents, carers and children to always hold hands with one another when on or near a road, driveway or carpark.
The Australian government states that children should have their hand held around roadways until they are 10 years old.
This is due to cognitive limitations.
