Moss Vale truck drivers Jacob Rofe, Heath Willis, Joel Lidgard and Beau Moran will be a part of the journey, which will start on January 26.
The four will be among a convoy of more than 200 trucks from across Australia, that will travel to drought-stricken Cunnamulla in South West Queensland.
The convoy will travel through Darlington Point, Hillston, Cobar and Bourke to reach its destination.
Jacob Rofe said the truck drivers were more than happy to help the people of Cunnamulla.
“We’ve got a lot to be thankful for, especially for farmers,” Mr Rofe said.
“There’s always someone out there doing it a lot tougher.
“We’ve got the capacity to help, so we do.”
The trucks will deliver items such as hay, grain, mulch and food.
“There’s so many things, so we’re attacking those needs,” Mr Rofe said.
“At the end of the day, if they’re battling to feed cattle, they’ll be battling to feed themselves and their pets. It’s not just hay, we do everything.”
The hay run is also about lifting the spirits of farmers.
“It means someone actually still cares about them,” Mr Rofe said. “It’s not just about a feed, it’s about their mental health.”
