This upgrade will not only reducing power bills, but help the environment by reducing energy consumption.
Goulburn MP Pru Goward said she was pleased to the installation would take place at a Highlands school.
“This funding is a great investment in our region that will keep on giving well into the future,” Ms Goward said.
The Small Sites and Heritage Energy Efficiency Scheme provides grants to small and heritage listed government sites across NSW to help them invest in energy efficiency measures.
These measures have included lighting, heating, ventilation and air conditioning upgrades, solar PV installations and domestic hot water upgrades.
It is estimated the total combined energy saved under the scheme will reduce bills by around $163,000 annually for all the sites in NSW.
