Facing Robertson at Centennial Park, the Bowral Blues Royals bowled first and dismantled the Robertson line-up for 85 runs.
Mitch Bayliss lead the charge with the ball, taking 2 wickets for 6 runs of 3.3 overs.
Mitch was backed by Noah Fitzroy who took 1 for 1 off 3 overs and Austen Cribben-Blencowe and Liam Bayliss who managed 2 for 6 and 1 for 0 respectively.
In reply with the bat the Royals ended up at 5 for 92 with Beau Gilbert hitting 18 runs and Austen Cribben-Blencowe retiring hurt at 24.
A mid-order batting collapse was cause for concern until Jack Baldwin (13 not out) and Liam Bayliss (18 not out) sealed the victory.
Meanwhile, the Bowral Blues Skies went up against Oxley Thunder at Oxley College.
Losing the toss, the Skies bowled first against a sure-footed Oxley batting line up.
Jack McCallum was best with the ball, taking out two batsmen and conceding only 5 runs off 2 overs.
Moses Rewais also picked up two wickets. Nick Colgan starred in the field with three outstanding catches.
Chasing a target of 120 runs, Skies openers Willoughby Watson and Jack McCallum both retired at 30 while Matt Colgan (21 not out) and Hayden Willebrand (18 not out) worked well together to bring the win home.
The Skies lost only one wicket.
The Round 9 McKillop Property junior players of the week are Mitch Bayliss and Jack McCallum – well done boys.
The wins see the Skies hold top spot on the local junior ladder, with the Royals charging their way north to third position.
Bowral Blues Cricket Club has thanked former English International Barry Knight for all the time and effort he has put into assisting players from both sides at weekly junior training sessions.
