About 11.15am on December 5 police stopped a Holden sedan on Golden Vale Road, Sutton Forest, for a roadside breath test.
The 39-year-old female driver, from Goulburn was subjected to a roadside breath test which proved negative.
Police made further enquiries and searched the car and will allege they found about 490 grams of cannabis leaf inside the vehicle.
The woman was arrested and taken to Bowral Police Station where she was later charged with possessing a prohibited drug.
She was released on conditional bail and will appear at Moss Vale Local Court on January 9, 2018.
Drink driving charges
Two Highlands men will face court next year after being charged with drink driving last week.
A Bowral man lost his licence on December 7 after he was stopped by police in Mittagong. About 8.45pm police stopped a Holden Commodore on Park Street, Mittagong.
Police spoke with the driver, a 36-year-old Bowral man, who produced a positive roadside breath test. He was arrested and taken to Bowral Police Station.
A second breath analysis produced a reading of 0.187. The man’s driver’s licence was immediately suspended.
He was issued a Court Attendance Notice for High Range Drink Driving to appear at Moss Vale Local Court on January 23, 2018.
On December 10, A Hill Top man had his licence suspended following a roadside breath test. About 12.30am police stopped a Nissan sedan on Cardigan Street, Renwick.
Police spoke with the driver, a 20-year-old Hill Top man, who held a Provisional Drivers Licence. A roadside breath test proved positive.
He was arrested and taken to Bowral Police Station where a second breath analysis produced a reading of 0.098.
His driver’s licence was immediately suspended and he was issued a Court Attendance Notice for Mid Range Drink Driving to appear at Moss Vale Local Court on January 9, 2018.
