Who knew shopping could be so exciting?
►Moss Vale’s Leighton Gardens was buzzing with Christmas cheer on Saturday night for Carols in the Park.
There was plenty of family-friendly entertainment including singing, dancing and face painting.
►The community celebrated the 150th anniversary of Moss Vale train station on Saturday.
The day included a commemoration ceremony, performances from the Highlands Pipes and Drums, the RSL Youth Choir and the School Cadet Unit, as well as several Sydney Trains exhibitions.

You don’t need a sleigh and reindeer to bring families Christmas cheer.
The Wollondilly Wanderers branch of the Ulysses Club is proof of this.
The Wanderers took part in a Christmas motorbike ride across the Highlands on Saturday, to help families in need over the festive season. More here.
►The Highland Fling has officially come to an end.
The Final Fling was held on the weekend of November 12 and 13 after a 20-year journey.
To celebrate the final event, Wild Horizons’ Huw Kingston made the decision to use the final event as a fundraiser for Save the Children.
►Southern Highlands Off Road R/C Car Club members gathered at Yerinbool Oval on Sunday for the final meet of the Spring Series.
There were 51 entries on the day, with 38 competitors racing in at least one of seven heats.
Categories included junior rookie (under 16), 2WD junior stock (under 16), 2WD stock, 2WD modified, 4WD stock, 4WD stock and trucks.
►Boxers stepped into the ring for a good cause on Saturday.
About 250 spectators watched about 14 fights at a charity fight night at PCYC Southern Highlands.
The event raised money for the Mittagong gym and its boxing program.
