The Southern Highlands Symphony Orchestra (SHSO) announced a competition for an original orchestral work sponsored by one of their distinguished patrons, Ann Carr-Boyd AM.
Ann Carr-Boyd AM is a distinguished Australian composer and suggested it would be great to have a composer competition and to feature the Southern Highlands Symphony Orchestra.
The competition is open to people of all ages who live in the Southern Highlands, Goulburn, Nowra, Illawarra, Kangaroo Valley, Camden and Picton.
The winning composition and the highly commended composition will be performed at the SHSO Gala Concerts on Saturday June 30 and July 1, 2018.
The competition judges will be, Ann Carr-Boyd AM, Andrew Ford OAM and Dr Allan Stiles.
Application forms for the competition are available at www.shso.org.au.
Applications will close on February 28, 2018.
