But in the Southern Highlands this is not the case.
At the staff Christmas Party held at the Royal Hotel, management of Southern Highlands Taxis, Limousines and Coaches handed out a number of Service Awards for drivers and staff.
Eighteen staff were recognised on the night for their service to the company:
- 12 drivers worked for the company for more than 5 years and under 10 years,
- 4 drivers worked for the company for more than 10 years and under 15 years
- 6 staff including the night shift operator have been with the company for more than 15 years, including 2 since the business commenced 18 years ago
This did not include Laurie and Cheryl Stewart who started the business with the belief it would be relatively short term.
“We have become an integral part of this community, we love it and have great respect for our loyal team and as the Southern Highlands grows so do we,” Laurie said.
With 30 vehicles including 22 taxis, four limousines and four De Luxe and luxury coaches the business with a total of 60 employees and drivers, caters for a huge clientele with an emphasis on safety and excellent customer service.
