The overwhelmed lady was the first prize winner in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1070, drawn on November 16.
While the draw was conducted a week ago, the winning entry was unregistered so NSW Lotteries had been waiting for the ticketholder to check their entry.
The woman, from Moss Vale, received a happy surprise when she checked her entry at lunchtime.
“I read the board out the front of the store that there had been a mystery winner, but I thought ‘it’s not going to be me, it’s someone else’,” she said.
“I just asked them to check my ticket and there you go!
“It’s pretty good! I wasn’t expecting that!”
The shocked winner admitted she only played Lucky Lotteries from time to time, and had yet to decide how she would use her windfall.
“I play Lucky Lotteries here and there, but not all the time,” she said.
“I don’t know what I’ll do with this $200,000 just yet, but I’ll find something nice I’m sure.”
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning one-number entry from Moss Vale Newsagency, 13 Clarence Street, Moss Vale.
Moss Vale Newsagency owner David Reid said he was really excited to have sold another winning entry to a regular customer.
“We’ve been telling everyone during the past week that there’s a winner in the region and it’s been generating a lot of interest,” he said.
“This is the 20th big win for our store so we’re thrilled!”
