Staff, rangers, FOWAS, volunteers and guests celebrated the day with laughter, cake and lots of dog love.
FOWAS president Deborah Barnes thanked everyone who had been involved with the animal shelter of the past 16 years.
►A warning has been issued by NSW Ambulance after more than 80 incidents of children trapped in cars over the past few months.
Since September 1, paramedics have been called to 81 children trapped in vehicles across the state, an average of about one child a day.
NSW Ambulance Chief Inspector Brian Parsell said temperatures inside vehicles could reach well over 50 degrees. More here.
►Highlands cyclist Kaarle McCulloch has broken the women’s team sprint national all-comers record with her teammate Stephanie Morton.
►Four Bowral Little Athletics Club members won their event and broke a state record at the Little Athletics NSW State Relays Championships at Sydney Olympic Park on the weekend.
