In a good day of basketball at Moss Vale there were games on court all day with both girls and boys at home.

The 1sts and 2nds Girls started off the day in winning form against Redlands.

For the 1sts the star was Summer Lewis who was in fine shooting form scoring 22 of the 53 points.

Likewise, it was Lucy Irvine for the 2nds scoring over half of the teams points.

In the Boys the A teams were up against St Augustines who have been leading the competition in all age groups

Chev teams gave the Augustine’s boys a run for their money in every game but the distinct height advantage paid off in most.

The 15’s went down to a couple of late 3 pointers in a really good match. Jarrod Cook and Jonah Elias were Chev’s best.

The 17’s reversed the morning trend with a very well played 3 point win. Ben Mitchell, Patrick King and Eddie Bradman were strong throughout.

The B teams were up against Oakhill and again the matches in the afternoon were generally close affairs.

The 13B team were winners with Nathan Bowditch and Connor Creevey starring.

A stirring half time speech from Coach Bec Graham stirred up her 14B team who were trailing.

Matthew Wray, Jack Turner and Jasper Wright were all impressive.

Finishing off a big day at Moss Vale were Fred Duncans 2nds team.

In a game where the difference was never more than three points the Chev boys finished on the right side of the scoresheet at the final buzzer.

Special mention to Harry Fletcher, Benoe Efira and Charlie Lidgard for their efforts.
