Station Street upgrade
Station Street will return to council at the November 22 meeting. Feedback from community engagement about the project will be presented to councillors. Council received 117 submissions in response to the concept plans- the majority from residents who live in Burradoo and the central or southern part of Bowral. Three submissions were received from property owners or tenants whose business was located in Station Street.

Supermarket DA
Councillors will debate a proposed supermarket in Moss Vale. A development application (DA) has been lodged to demolish the existing buildings and build a supermarket at 166 Argyle Street and 6-8 Robertson Road, Moss Vale. Council staff have recommended approval subject to conditions and that councillors support the 7.5m maximum height limit.
Seniors living
Possible seniors living at the Our Lady of Sacred Heart site in Bowral will be a topic of debate at the next council meeting. Councillor Graham McLaughlin will move council submit a planning proposal to remove a provision in the WLEP 2010 which could allow seniors housing on the site. He will ask council issue an interim heritage order for the site.
Flood maps
Council is expected to submit a planning proposal to amend the Flood Planning Area Map. This follows several flood studies undertaken recently including Gibbergunyah Creek, Nattai River, Braemar, Wembley Avenue, Farnborough Drive and Robertson. If successful, the studies and their associated mapping would be included on the flood planning area map layer of the WLEP 2010.
Effie Kerr memorial
Councillor Grahame Andrews will push to have Effie Kerr, a part of the Vietnam Memorial Walk Trust Management Committee, permanently recognised at the site. He will put forward a motion at the November 22 meeting that council install a brass plaque along the Bowral walk, in recognition of the contribution she made in establishing the walk.
