One keen Highlands photographer, Debbie Skinner, saw just how busy things could get for the parents of a newborn bird when she caught this welcome swallow feeding her chicks. She was fortunate to snap a picture so others could also enjoy the sight. Spring is commonly a time when birds and other animals have babies as they need to have their young when there is lots of food available. Longer spring days mean they have longer to find food for their young and warmer weather means more food is around.
