Pacific proved that the B grade water polo competition still has life left in it, as they pushed competition front runners Horton's Heroes right to the final whistle, in going down by a solitary goal 3-4, in their game on Monday night.

Most of the game was spent with the scores drawn, as the teams matched each other, goal for goal, over the four quarters.
Halfway through the final quarter Horton's Heroes managed to slot in the goal that took them to the lead.
They then had to repulse several promising attacks by Pacific, to hold on and remain undefeated this season.
Pacific will take a good deal of confidence out of the game. The Mighty Mariners scored a 10-4 win over Oxley Blue. The game was a closer affair than the score indicated and it was only in the second half that Mighty Mariners really asserted themselves. Bottlenose had a comfortable 12-3 win over Oxley Gold.
