►A man is due to face court on drug charges after ice was allegedly seized during a vehicle stop in Marulan on Wednesday morning.
At about 12.45am on October 25 officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol stopped a Ford Territory wagon on the Hume Highway near Marulan. More here.
►Tudor House elementary school in Moss Vale welcomed the community in through its gates on the weekend for their first annual ‘Tudorfest’.
More than 4000 people visited the school grounds between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, October 21 for carnival rides, pop-up markets, high tea, a vintage sports car club rally, food and music.
►Evan Child and his family have had a $0 net annual electricity charge for the past 12 months.
Mr Child, an electrician and Clean Energy Council accredited solar system designer and installer, has put a system on his Moss Vale home that has produced enough energy to run a five bedroom house. More here.
►In a win that he has described as “extraordinary”, Highlands sculptor David Ball has taken out first prize at the world’s largest outdoor sculpture exhibition.
Ball, who is based in Mittagong, was awarded the $60,000 first place at this year’s Sculptures by the Sea in Bondi.
►The Empire Cinema has claimed the title of Best Regional Cinema for the fourth time.
It won the award in 2003, 2013 and 2016.
This year it shared the award with Darwin Deck Chair Outdoor Cinema.
