Spring is always a glorious time in the Highlands where open gardens show off the magnificence of cool-climate plantings.

Our Spring edition of Visitors Guide highlights the inaugural WILDfest event where leading chefs will make your foray into wild a memorable experience.  As usual Tulip Time will attract visitors to the region and the annual Food and Wine show and competition will be an exciting weekend.

An exciting new Australian luxury wilderness experience brand, WILDfest Southern Highlands has opened up the region’s spectacular national parks as never before.

From October 27-29 you can experience this three-day weekend of magical wilderness encounters and unforgettable food adventure.

Not to be missed is the Wild Native Feast- the signature WILDfest ‘dinner with a twist’ on Saturday October 28.  It’s a feast for body and soul - curated by local chef Damien Monley of Grand Bistro at Bowral.  The decadent, seven-course dinner is enjoyed out under the milky way, seated among the ruins of an old mining town at Joadja. For a whimsical WILDfest touch, you’ll be handed a top hat and tails or long gloves and tiaram on arrival to this breathtaking bushland setting.  And so the adventure begins . . .
