At about 12.45am on October 25 officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol stopped a Ford Territory wagon on the Hume Highway near Marulan.
Following investigations officers searched the car and allegedly located three resealable bags containing drugs believed to be ‘ice’ in the car.
The drugs were seized and will undergo forensic examinations.
The driver, a 33-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Goulburn Police Station where he was charged with supply indictable quantity of drugs.
He was refused bail and is due to appear at Goulburn Local Court on October 25.
The vehicle stop was as part of the CATCH (Crime and Traffic Connecting on Highways) program.
The NSW Police CATCH program trains officers in the detection and interception of illicit drugs being transported on our roads.
Assistant Commissioner Michael Corboy of the state's Traffic and Highway Patrol Command said the objective of CATCH training is to rid our roads of ice and other drugs.
"Those that use our highways to transport drugs can expect to be intercepted, searched and arrested,” Assistant Commissioner Corboy said.
"Since the inception of the CATCH program, over $110 million dollars worth of drugs, as well as guns, cash, stolen goods, and other contraband has been taken off our roads.”
